Pearl barley, or pearled barley, is barley that has been processed to remove its fibrous outer hull and polished to remove some or all of the bran layer. This pearl barley is a hearty, tasty grain with a light nutty flavour and delightful chewy texture. It is great in soups, hotpots and stir-fries.
